Conventional (Non-Addressable)
Conventional Fire Alarm systems are the entry level for most small to medium type properties. Upon activation of a smoke detector or device the panel will show a LED as a zone within the building and will indicate an area where the device is located. On site staff or the fire services would then have to search for the exact location of the device or detector. The sounders or bells will activate signalling staff to evacuate the building.
Addressable
An Addressable System is more intelligent and of higher specification than a Conventional System it will be able to provide the user or fire services with an exact location and information of the device that has activated. The systems can be programmed to suit all customers’ requirements offering phased evacuation of larger properties, with sounders operating within zones etc if required.
Options for all Fire Systems
PP Electrical can offer remote fire monitoring for all new and customers existing systems, this equipment connects to a manned call centre that are on call 24hours a day and 365 a year. When a alarm is generated they will act on the customers protocol e.g call the Fire Services, Key Holders, Security company etc

Category “M” systems are where manual call points are fitted and therefore incorporate no automatic detection.
Category “L” systems are for the protection of life.
Category “L1” system “manual detection at defined positions & automatic detection in all areas of the protected premises”.
Category “L2” system “manual detection at defined positions & automatic detection in all escape routes, rooms which open onto escape routes & high risk or fire hazard areas of the protected premises”.
Category “L3” system “manual detection at defined positions & automatic detection in all escape routes & rooms which open onto escape routes of the protected premises”.
Category “L4” system “manual detection at defined positions & automatic detection in all escape routes of the protected premises”.
Category “L5” system “manual detection at defined positions & automatic detection in areas designed to satisfy a specific fire safety objective of the protected premises”.
Category “P” systems are for the protection of property.
Category “P1” system “automatic fire detection fitted in all areas of the building”.
Category “P2” system “automatic fire detection fitted in defined areas of the building”.
