PP Electrical can design and install all of a buildings emergency & safety systems.
Theses items are generally found within commercial & industrial premises although some domestic based properties that use a warden type call system may have some of the items installed.
Disabled Refuge Alarms.
In the event of fire, staff could become trapped on floors / landings, as lifts may have stopped working. A disabled refuge alarm can provide communication between the main reception area and various points within a building generally around lift lobbies or stairwells. When a call is made a dedicated telephone wired in fireproof cable rings in the main reception area enabling the fire & rescue services to co-ordinate a rescue.
Disabled Toilet Alarms.
All disabled toilets will have some sort of call system, these are generally in the form of a pull cord hanging from the ceiling and a light / sounder unit mounted over the door outside. In larger premises they may well communicate the alarm to a master panel mounted within the main reception area.
Emergency Lighting
Emergency lighting is present in all commercial and industrial buildings. In the event of mains power loss some lighting changes over automatically to provide low level lighting that will provide general illumination and shown staff the way out via illuminated boxes showing directional arrows etc.
Patient Call / Nurse Call Alarms
Patient / Nurse call systems are generally found within doctor’s surgeries, hospitals, care homes etc.
They will generally consist of a call type pull cord or handset / button that when pressed turns on a local over door light and also communicates with a master panel located within a main office / reception area.
These systems will guide either staff or patients to the correct point of alarm.
PP Electrical can design, install service & maintain all of these essential Emergency Systems in line with all current standards and guidelines.
